A console success, brought to PC

Stellar Blade gained a strong fanbase at launch, thanks to being a bold title that pushed back against a lot of what modern game design stands for — for obvious reasons. At a time when many voices are speaking out about the oversexualisation of fictional characters, SHIFT UP did what it always does: created one (or more) characters that appeal to the majority of its target audience — whether that's men, women, or non-binary players.

There’s a saying that “no one likes playing as an ugly character” — and sure, that might be true. But it always depends on the narrative and aesthetic context. Let’s be honest though: EVE is, for many, the very definition of eye candy.

Of course, that’s not all. The story is solid, the gameplay is genuinely fun, and the soundtrack? Still on repeat to this day.

Given that success, it was only natural for Sony to bring the game to PC — just as it’s done with previous exclusives.

That said, there was no trailer yet — until someone running the PlayStation YouTube channel had a little oopsie and published the PC launch trailer ahead of schedule. As expected, it was taken down quickly… but not before plenty of people online managed to grab a copy.

The trailer gives pretty much everything away

In it, we can see the content that’s been enhanced for PC, as well as the additions coming to the console as DLC: 25 new outfits — get your photo mode ready — and a new boss.

Some of this content had already been partially teased in the Stellar Blade x NIKKE: Goddess of Victory collab trailer — shocking, right?

The trailer confirms that the PC version is dropping on June 11th — which means less than a month to go.

And yes… we all know exactly what kind of mods are going to show up in the first 24 hours after launch — but I’m not saying anything else about that...
